i read blogs all the time and i must say the one thing going on right now is the fact that most services are moving to the internet, and operating systems such as windows or programs like microsoft office may no longer be needed in a good couple of years.
however, i think i might have to disagree with that for the first time after embracing this movement for quite some days. yesterday out of nowhere, my at&t phone line went dead, therefore losing my internet in the process. with the internet connection lost their was literally no way to gain access to facebook, aim, or email. basically, yesterday was not the greatest day because socializing and interacting became way too hard. eventually, my closest solution was connecting to one of my neighbors great wi-fi’s which gave me an AMAZING download speed of 6.2 kb/sec. so all this brought up the idea, on why do blogs throughout the tech world continuously praise web services when there is a high possibility that one may lose internet connection? even here in america( where internet is great ,not as good as europe) if we experience such problems is that not troubling?
Take what man makes and use it, but do not worship it, for it shall pass.

I’m going to change around the posts I’ve had recently and do a small technological series, on some ideas and thoughts I’ve come across. The first one comes tonight.
Wow. Can’t believe Junior Year is already over. Though tough, and initially slow, the year is already over, and there is now lots to enjoy, because it is finally summer. This summer will be vastly different from my previous summer, when I took a trip to India to partake in a religious ritual. I’ll be attending UC Berkeley’s ATDP program called TIC or “The Internet Classroom”. Here I’ll be learning Web Design with XHTML, and CSS, something I’ve been really wanting to learn alongside many other programs such as Ruby on Rails. I think I’ll find large practical use to this because I’ve dreamed up many ideas and concepts regarding the web, however I have been incapable of coding and making any progress. It will also be vastly different from Computer Science, which I took this past school year, and the AP Computer Science I plan on taking my Senior Year.
I’m a big believer in applications and tasks moving onto the net, and I think I’ll find greater practicability in this than that of Computer Science. Programs that I write in Computer Science can only be used on one computer at a time, yet programs I write in HTML, XHTML, or CSS can be used by any computer that has internet access, and with phones like the iPhone. Thats so much better than writing in C, simply because I can embrace a program that is able to get in the hands of many rather than few. With all this said, I think there should be no doubt that this summer will be exciting because I’m taking a course in something I have interest in, rather than the dreaded courses many are forced to take in high school.
Ending with a quote by Steve Jobs:
” Going to bed at night saying we’ve done something wonderful… that’s what matters to me. “
Going to bed at night knowing I might change the world with a web program I might develop is cool. That’s what matters to me.

Interesting picture. Video about Hillary Clinton, Ad about John McCain, and one frame about Barack Obama.
Wow. After being a beta tester for less than 4 months, Powerset (a natural language search engine) recently held an opportunity to let the users decide a new name and tagline for the future product they plan on releasing.
Today they’ve decided the tagline I suggested might be the future tagline of the company. It’s nothing big, just “Learning is beautiful again.”
Either way its big for me, a teenager who has some ambition to do management/marketing in the future, to land such an opportunity and “honor”.
for winning I get a free tshirt from them which is pretty damn cool i guess, along with a paper with the signatures of the most important people. i mean its a free shirt so why not wear it?![]()
